When Marcel Duchamp introduced the Readymade, he did not only turn the art world upside down. By using existing objects against their intended use, he also inspired many users and makers outside the explicit art context. Hacking- and DIY-culture has by now become a popular movement with its own print media, one of which calls itself: “Readymade”.
